The Living museum
From May 10 to August 23 2009, Lucca Center of Contemporary Art, offers vintage fifty works (paintings and sculptures), many appeared on the magazine of the "Origin" or belonged to the same artists and architects.

Overall, these highlight the research of individual artists in the stages of the period under consideration.

The exhibition is divided into four sections:

The introductory section makes it possible to know the protagonists of this story using historical photographs, from the artists of the Foundation Source to futurist, Giacomo Balla, to the supporters, among them Emilio Villa. The aim is to immerse the visitor in a 'new visual world "thanks to the care with which they are adapted to environments of the Museum will be given to the fervent activity of Origin Research Foundation. From the original numbers of "Visual Arts", the literary organ of the Foundation to the "Space" magazine of architecture conducted by Moretti, by written programs to letters, to photographs of key moments in the artistic life. Finally, some abstract movie matrix created by the masters of the historical avant-garde, designed by our artists.

The exhibition is dedicated to the founders of the Foundation Source: Capogrossi, Burri, Colla and Ballocco, represented by three works each. The smaller rooms are dedicated to Piero Dorazio and Achille Perilli, who were the engine of the early years and all those artists who marked the path from a rigorous abstraction, as Atanasio Soldati and Mario Nigro, to the informal in all its declinations: Accardi, Widow, Afro, Sanfilippo, Turcato, Mimmo Rotella and an old master still interested in the trial as Enrico Prampolini.

The third section is dedicated to "fathers" such as Kandinsky, Sonia Delaunay and saletta focuses exclusively on Balla, trying to make an essay of the exhibition organized by the Origin Group in 1951, which marked the rediscovery of the Dean of Futurists. A great room welcomes the work of foreign masters with which the artists found the Origin of elective affinity: by Hans Hartung at Corneille, from Sebastian Matta Arp, Max Bill Ben Nicholson.

Concludes the exhibition route to the fourth section that shows the individual paths taken in some players, documented by a work performed between the years'60 and'70 each of great visual impact: Capogrossi, Colla, Dorazio, Burri, and Ballocco Perilli.
