Athletics Porcari was founded in 1984 by a group of friends who already regularly participated together at various running events since 1973. Today it is one of the largest local athletics associations with 225 members who every Sunday participate at competitive and not competitive running events, throughout the country and also abroad. The organisation organises every year "Porcari Corre" or better "Porcari Runs" on the second Sunday of February.

Porcari RUNS ... AND YOU?
"Porcari Runs" is a running event held on the second Sunday of February in the town of Porcari and this year reaches its 25th edition. Every year over 7000 Joggers flock to this town in the Province of Lucca.
"Porcari Runs" is organized by Atletica Porcari, is not competitive, and has several paths suitable for all legs.
Do you want to know why every year more than 7000 people from all over Italy leave their bed so early in a period not famous for its warm climat, to be present at this festival running? There has to be a reason.
